From
the time I was four years old - a time when I played in mud pies and
hated it - I would say, "Someday I'm going to write about this."
Regardless of how little education I had, the incidents kept piling up. Throughout the years I repeated, "Some day I'm going to write about this." At the time I got
into a small newspaper business, I had no idea it would lead me to this point. It must have been written in the heavens
because a little more experience, a little more knowledge, and a little more wisdom also kept piling up. All of a sudden one
day I said to myself, “Today is the day.” I stopped saying “Not now!” And today has become the day. |
"It's
a long row to hoe" to cover all of my life in just one book. This one
covers only some of the highlights. Maybe other points will be brought
out in the future. All of us have little books stored away inside us.
Don't be afraid to touch it. A great philosopher once said over eight hundred years
ago: "From suffering to wisdom" summarizes our history. It’s held true for me, as well as millions of others through
out time. |
